Claw Moor is a nice woodland in West Devon near Holsworthy. There is a circular trail through the woods and a small lake with reed beds fed by the river Claw. There are a number of routes to Claw Moor. At Holsworthy, take the A3072 and at Dunsland Cross, turn right onto the A3079 sign posted to Halwill. After about a mile the entrance to Claw Moor is on the right. There are a few parking spaces in front of the entrance but signs warn not to block the entrance. There is also a layby on the road with space for two small cars with a short walk along the road to the Claw Moor entrance. Note that the A3079 here is a very fast road and care needs to be taken while walking along the road.
