35 photos of Claw Moor, West Devon
Claw Moor is a nice woodland in West Devon near Holsworthy. There is a circular trail through the woods and a small lake with reed beds fed by the river Claw. There are a number of routes to Claw Moor. At Holsworthy, take the A3072 and at Dunsland Cross, turn right onto the A3079 sign posted to Halwill Junction. Continue on the A3079 for several miles, past the Cookworthy Forest forestry centre, then round a right bend and the entrance to Claw Moor is on the left. There are a few parking spaces in front of the entrance but signs warn not to block the entrance. There is also a layby on the road with space for two small cars with a short walk along the road to the Claw Moor entrance. Note that the A3079 here is a very fast road and care needs to be taken while walking along the road.
