There is a pleasant water side on the banks of the river Dart. Totnes is 24 miles from Plymouth on the A38 (turn off at Marley Head onto the A385 for Totnes) and 29 miles from Exeter on the A38 (turn off at Dart Bridge onto the A384 for Totnes).
