Lyme Regis is a large seaside resort town on the West Dorset coast. There is a harbour known as "The Cobb" and a long beach with sea front promenade. The beach is mostly pebble but with sand by the harbour. There are beach shops and cafés by the beach. Lyme Regis is about 25 miles east of Exeter and about 25 miles west of Dorchester. From Exeter take the A3052 to Lyme Regis or from Dorchester take the A35 and then turn onto the A3052 to approach Lyme Regis from the east. There are plenty of car parks park in Lyme Regis including a large car park by the harbour.
