Hope Cove is a picturesque sandy cove with a harbour wall. Just to the north of the harbour is another sandy beach with rock pools called Mouthwell Beach. There are cafés and toilets. Hope Cove is about 23 miles from Plymouth on the A397 and B3197. On the B3197, turn right where signposted to Galmpton and Hope Cove and drive through Galmpton and then down to Hope Cove. There is a car park at Hope Cove. Photos include some fine views of Hope Cove from the headland Bolt Tail, photos of Hope Cove taken on the beach and photos of Mouthwell Beach. There is good walking around Bolt Tail and you can also walk north of Hope Cove to Thurlestone Sand.
