Helston is a large town above the Lizard peninsula in South Cornwall. There is a town centre with many old and interesting buildings including the Guildhall and the Grylls monument. There is also a boating lake at Coronation Park. Helston is about 17 miles from Truro on the A39. Take the A39 from Truro and on the A39 approaching Falmouth, turn right at the Treliever roundabout onto the A394, signposted to Helston. At Helston there are small car parks in the town centre and also a large free car park by the boating lake.
