Appledore is a harbour town on the west bank of the river Torridge in North Devon. There is a nice water front with shops and cafés. There are fine views over the Torridge and Taw estuaries. Appledore is about 2 miles north of Bideford which is 25 miles from Bude on the A39. Approaching Bideford on the A39, turn left at a roundabout where signposted to Appledore onto the A386 and follow this road to Appledore. There are several car parks in Appledore.
