37 photos of the Otter Estuary, East Devon

The River Otter flows through East Devon into a wide estuary to meet the sea at Budleigh Salterton. The estuary is a nature reserve and there is a footpath along both banks of the estuary and upstream the river can be crossed via a road bridge. There are viewing platforms and a bird hide. Budleigh Salterton is 17 miles from Exeter on the A376 and A3052. On the A3052 at Newton Poppleford turn right onto the B3178 (signposted to Budleigh Salterton). There is a large car park on the edge of the town on the west bank of the estuary.
