Okehampton Castle is a Norman motte and bailey castle on the edge of Okehampton in Devon. The castle was built in 1068 and extended in later years. The castle and grounds are managed by English Heritage and can be visited by the public with an entry fee (£10 in 2024). Take the A30 to Okehampton. In Okehampton town centre, turn onto George Street (which is by the White Hart Hotel). On George Street take the second right onto Castle Road and follow this road for about a mile until the castle car park on the left. From the car park the castle entrance is a short walk on the road.
