Carn Brea is a large hill overlooking Redruth. At the top of the hill there is a small castle, which is now a restaurant and there is also a 90 foot celtic cross. There are fine views at the top of Carn Brea and many paths around the hill and up to the hill. At the village of Carnkie there is a lane up to the top of Carn Brea and there are a few car parking spaces at the top. Carnkie is about 2 miles from Redruth on the B3297 with a right turning signposted to Carnkie.
