22 photos of Yarner Wood, Dartmoor

Yarner Wood is a large woodland and is a “National Nature Reserve” on East Dartmoor near Bovey Tracey. There are numerous paths and trails through the woods, including a path which links up with The Templar Way, a trail which includes the Haytor Granite Tramway and in places the granite line can still be seen. In Yarner Wood there are also bird hides and the wood is popular with bird watchers. Yarner Wood is about 2 miles west of Bovey Tracey. On the A38 at the Drumbridges roundabout turn onto the A382 to Bovey Tracey. At Bovey Tracey at a roundabout turn left where signposted to Haytor onto the B3387. At Five Wyches Cross keep right and follow this road for several miles until a left turning signposted to Yarner Wood. Follow this lane until the Yarner Wood car park. Photos include photos of Yarner Wood and photos of The Templar Way.
