16 photos of Round Pound, Dartmoor

Round Pound is a bronze age settlement below Kestor Rocks on the north east of Dartmoor near Chagford. Round Pound is on a patch of open moorland on the southern edge of a steep valley of the North Teign River. At Chagford drive out of the village on Manor Road. Continue on this road and turn right where signposted to Kestor and continue on this lane up onto the moor following signs to Kestor and Batworthy. Drive past Round Pound and there is some parking by the road side and a few car parking spaces at the top of the valley which is known as Batworthy Corner.
