11 photos of Hurston Ridge, Dartmoor

Hurston Ridge stone row is a prehistoric double stone row on the east slope of Hurston Ridge on Dartmoor. There are fine views from the row, looking across to Meldon Hill in the distance. There are various routes to Hurston Ridge across open moorland. The easiest route is to park in the layby by the Warren House Inn near Postbridge, then walk north across open moorland, taking about 20-30 minutes to reach the top of the ridge. The stone row is on the lower east slope of the ridge. Postbridge is about 6-7 miles from Princetown. From Princetown take the B3212 signposted to Two Bridges. At Two Bridges turn right onto the B3357 and then left where signposted to Postbridge to continue on the B3212. The Warren House Inn is a few miles north of Postbridge.
