Information image
Grimspound is an impressive example of a bronze age settlement on Dartmoor just below Hameldown Tor. There are ruined hut circles enclosed by a surrounding rock wall. Grimspound is about 12 miles from Princetown on the B3357, with a left turning onto the B3212 at Two Bridges. Several miles after Postbridge on the B3212 turn right onto a road and follow this road to Hameldown Tor where there is space to park in the road. Grimspound is a short walk from the road (The path is shown in photo Grimspound25). Photos include photos of Grimspound from Hameldown Tor and photos of Grimspound with Hookney Tor in the distance.
