28 photos of the East Dart Valley, Dartmoor

West of Postbridge on Dartmoor, the East Dart River stretches up onto open moorland through a picturesque valley with an impressive waterfall. Postbridge is about 6 miles from Princetown on the B3357, with a left turning onto the B3212 at Two Bridges. At Postbridge there is a large car park with visitor centre and pub. To access the East Dart Valley, at Postbridge walk along the road over the bridge (across the East Dart River) and then turn left through a gate onto a footpath. Follow this path to Hartland Tor and then along the east side of the river and valley. The river bends to the left and winds up to the waterfall. At the waterfall there are slabs of rock which allow crossing the river, but will be unpassable after heavy rain.
