Swanpool Beach is a small but popular sand and shingle beach on the southern edge of Falmouth. There is a café on the beach and a car park over the road from the beach. Behind the beach is a small lake which is popular with birds such as swans, ducks and coots. The lake can be walked around but this is partly on the road. Falmouth is about 10 miles from Truro on the A39. At Falmouth follow the A39 around Falmouth and then turn right at a mini roundabout onto Pennance Road (signposted to "Beaches"). Then turn right onto Swanpool Hill (signposted to Swanpool Beach and Maenporth) and follow this road to the beach.
