Mattiscombe Beach is a small sandy beach on a very scenic part of the South Devon coast west of Start Point and Start Bay. The beach is popular in summer although there are no facilities and the nearest parking is about 20 minutes walking. There is good coast path walking at Mattiscombe to Start Point with fine views. Start Point is about 9 miles from Kingsbridge. At Kingsbridge drive east on the A379 until Stokenham and then turn onto the Bee Sands Road. Follow the directions towards Start Point. At Start Point there is a field car park and there is a path down to Mattiscombe Beach.
