Loe Bar is a large sand and shingle beach which acts as a sand bank between the sea and The Loe freshwater lake. There are no facilities or toilets. Loe Bar is approximately 5 miles from Helston. At Helston follow the A3083 to Lizard. About 2 miles after Helston turn right to Gunwalloe (signposted to Gunwalloe) and at Gunwalloe turn right (signposted to Loe Bar) and continue on this road until a left turn. Turn left and follow this lane by two farms until the Loe Bar car park. Park here and walk the remainder of the lane to Loe Bar Beach. Alternatively, park at Porthleven and walk the coast path south.
