32 photos of Chesil Beach, West Dorset

Chesil Beach is a long shingle and pebble beach in Dorset that stretches from the Isle of Portland to the mainland at Weymouth and along the coast to the west. There are many access points to Chesil Beach including at the village of Chiswell at Portland and a car park and visitor centre just after Ferry Bridge which is where the road from Weymouth joins Chesil Beach. Portland is about 14 miles from Dorchester. Take the A354 from Dorchester to Weymouth and follow the A354 through Weymouth over Ferry Bridge to Chesil Beach and Portland. There is a car park at the visitor centre and a free car park above Chiswell and Fortuneswell, which is a good vantage point for some fine views across Chesil Beach and Portland Harbour, with Weymouth in the distance. Photos include photos of Chesil Beach, Portland Harbour, the sea front at Chiswell and Ferry Bridge.
