Chapel Porth is a nice sandy beach below a steep narrow valley on the North Cornwall coast near St Agnes. At low tide there is a small pebble beach which extends to a large sandy beach at low tide, which is popular with surfers. There is good walking on the coast path including walking to Wheal Coates mine and St Agnes Head. Chapel Porth is close to St Agnes which is about 12 miles west of Newquay. On the A30 at the Chiverton Cross roundabout turn onto the B3277 which is the road to St Agnes (signposted to St Agnes). Approaching the outskirts of St Agnes at a mini roundabout turn left (signposted to Chapel Porth) and follow this road to Chapel Porth. There is a small car park above the beach and a field car park in summer at the top of the valley.
