46 photos of Braunton Burrows, North Devon

Braunton Burrows is a large sandy beach with an extensive dune system on the north bank of the Torridge and Taw estuary in North Devon. The dunes have a large number of rare plants and animals. At low tide there is plenty of sand which stretches from the Braunton Burrows car park to Crow Point with its lighthouse. The beach then stretches several miles north to Saunton Sands. Braunton Burrows is about 8 miles from Barnstaple on the A361. At Braunton on the A361, turn left at a roundabout where sign posted to Braunton Burrows and Crow Point. Continue on this road over a mini roundabout and then along the bank of the River Caen. Then turn left where signposted to Crow Point onto a lane which is a toll road. Continue on this road to the car park.
