Davidstow Woods is a woodland adjacent to Davidstow Airfield on the north edge of Bodmin Moor. Most of Davidstow Woods is open access land and there are paths through the woods. There are also remains of runways in the woods. The airfield was used in World War II. Davidstow Airfield is close to the A39 road. On the A39 about 2-3 miles north of Camelford, turn right where sign posted to Altarnun. Take this road and turn right where sign posted to Crowdy Reservoir. This roads leads into Davidstow Woods and there is a layby where you can park. Alternatively park at Crowdy Reservoir and walk the western bank of the reservoir to Davidstow Woods. You can also access the woods from Davidstow Airfield.
